I'm beginning to believe SA's theory that my stomach just can't handle stress.

It's been a bad day for me, really. I woke up this morning and was just in a mood, and so I decided to shower and go for a walk. going on the long walk in the heat lead to a really bad headache, so I slept for a good portion of the evening. I woke up, wasn't hungry, and was still feeling stressed. My headache came back and I basically shut myself in my room until around 10pm, when I decided I had to take the garbage out. I decided to eat, and got sick.

grr.

also, got the HP book spoiled for me by reading a comment on a blog. Grrrrr.

So, I started reading, and fell asleep around 1ish, 130ish. Awake again, but my headache is gone. YAY. Now, to deal with the whole sudden feelings of gloom. I am NOT a glommy/emo type person by any stretch of the word, so there's got to be a way to sort of shake myself from this state.

I almost want to blame finding HP Spoilers online, because after I read them, I was really dsisappointed, but I was feeling bad before I did that, and was why I went out in the heat to walk - thinking a walk would clear my head. It helped, but coming back with the headache wasn't nice. I'm thinking about going on another long walk tomorrow, and packin gmy lunch with me and wearing my bathing suit and then winding up over at the pool for lunch and then a swim. We'll see what time I wake up, since I'm now going to bed at 4am. Ugh.

I'm also going to sleep a bit later than usual. Sometimes giving myself extra sleep can help me out of a "funk".

We'll see how I feel when I eventually wake up. I also want to finish re-reading half-blood Prince by Friday night, so I might just do that tomorrow instead. Maybe drive over to a park and park myself under a tree or something.

Right. Bed.

G'night.

a nice refreshing icon to keep us all cool today...02:49 pm
Didn't walk as far as I wanted to. The path I take is a quarter of a mile, and then I walk the mile around the circle. At any given time, I'm at MOST a half a mile away from getting back to my house, however, I started to hear rumblings of thunder after I walked the walking path and was about to turn left to start the mile. Instead, I turned right and walked the much shorter distance back to the house. I had my iPod and Cell oh me, and well, given the LAST time I got those things wet, I really didn't want a repeat performance. I'm wondering if I carry a ziplock bag with me in my pocket and it starts to rain if putting my electronics into the ziplock immediately would help keep them from getting drenched?

Of course, it still hasn't started to rain, so maybe I came back home for no reason. Ah, well.

While walking, I got stopped by a woman in a van. She wanted to tell me that she saw me walking the day before and thought to herself "that girl has very nice legs", so she had to stop me and tell me she thought I had nice legs :)

My pedometer broke :( the spring onthe clip was loose, and when I went to tighten it, the circle it goes through on the other end was cracked and it completely fell apart. I tried using it by just putting it in my pocket, but the directions say it has to be vertical for it to work and be able to swing back and forth. BUT, I think if I dig out my glue gun and a pinback that I might be able to "fix it" - having to pin it to my pants might be a pain if I want to check my progress in the middle of walking, but at least it will save me on having to buy a new one (yes, I realize they only cost $5 or something like that at Wal-Mart, but I don't want to have to go to Wal-Mart, and I haven't seen them anyplace else for that inexpensive).

...and now, a half an hour later, the sun is back out. However, I'm still pretty hot from earlier, so I don't really want to go back out and I checked NWS and it says "60% chance of thunderstorms", so I don't think I'll chance it. Tomorrow I will walk a bit longer to try to make up for it, or I'll go over to the mall this evening and walk there, maybe.

Hmm. Do i want to go to the Asian Grocery Store and get more crackers or do I want to wait and do it tomorrow?

Apparently, I make a good London Broil.

I made a marinade I found online -

1 packet of seven seas italian dressing
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs white wine

mix together. "score" the meat (or poke holes with a meat fork), brush on the marinade onto both sides, let sit in the fridge for an hour. Broil in oven for 7-10 minutes each side.

Of course, I haven't eaten it, but mom has, and she said it's good.

All because [info]missmarypotter and I are crazy. The original voice post is below, but a chopped up/amplified version of Jim Dale's pre-recorded reminder to pick up Harry Potter can be found here. I do not claim it to be the best quality, as it was a three-way call into LJ turned wav turned mp3, but hey. We'll take it!

And the original, but there's at least 30 seconds of silence before it:

You scored:

Language of the Norse, Older Futhark! Thirty symbols, all told. And no hardier, more warrior-like tongue has ever graced the longships of the Viki or left the Celts and Saxons in such quivering fear. There's only one drawback, that being you died 800 years ago.
